Book Review for Mark of Athena

Mark of Athena is another Rick Riordan book. The story takes place after the ending of The Son of Neptune. The seven heroes from the Greek and Roman demigod training camps are united to go on a quest. The Greek warship fires on the Roman camp causing the Romans to go to war. The demigods travel the world on the warship. They are chased by the Romans across the United States. Eventually, they change their plans. The seven, plus their chaperon, journey to Rome to find the Athena Parthenos, defeat the giants who are anti-Dionysus, and find a son of Hades who can help them on their quest. Any Riordan book is amazing, but this one seemed middle-of-the-pack. The book is still a must-read, but I felt Riordan could have added a lot more action. At times the book was too boring or mushy.
